Mice and Rat Control
Mice and Rats are one of the oldest scourges of this city, In the city that never sleeps, the constant construction and development inherent here, provides excellent conditions for rodent populations. We saw it just recently at the Kentucky Fried Chicken where many Rats had seemingly "taken" over the place. We at Broadway have the structural experience to make your apartment or business rodent free.
What we can do:
We use the latest technology and delivery methods to work towards total elimination of your rodent popluation. Our service men do a thorough inspection of the premises, trying to find access points. Once he locates these "holes", he precision treats these openings with very powerful dusts that once inside walls is quite lethal to the pests. Our service men also try to close any small holes that can be closed with Steel wool or "expanding foam". We also use the more traditional baiting methods and trapping with glue traps, to provide a total rodent control solution.
What you could do:
Make sure you always keep garbage tight and with a lid. Keep counters clean and take any clutter out from under your sinks in kitchen and bathroom.

Bird Pest Control
Businesses, municipalities and airports all require professional bird control services. We know that birds are an important part of our natural environment. As predators they feed on insects, rodents, worms, fish and countless other animals. Game birds, song birds, hawks and other bird species contribute to outdoor recreation and the overall enjoyment of nature.
Because of these contributions, birds are afforded considerable protection by laws, regulations and public sentiment. Public relations are an integral part of any bird management project and Critter Control will educate our clients and the public as to why a particular bird control program or method is necessary.
Birds may be beneficial, neutral or harmful to man's interests, depending upon time, location and activity. Some birds (sparrows, woodpeckers, waterfowl, pigeons and black birds) are more likely to become pests than others. Pest bird situations include:
• Feeding on Agricultural Products
• Roosting or Nesting Around Human Habitations
• Destroying Vegetation & Contaminating Foods
• Noise, Droppings, Odor & Feathers
• Diseases or Ectoparasites Affecting Man
• Unpleasant or Hazardous Working Conditions

Other Pests
Approximately 10% to 20% of carpenter ants forage for food and water depending upon the time of the season. Most of the ant population remains in the nest where they work at enlarging the nest by excavating wood or insulation. Carpenter ants do not eat wood they simply cut and remove wood and other debris. It is most important to locate and treat internal and external nests and travel routes. This cannot be achieved by just spraying as this will only kill foragers. Proper void treatments take longer to perform, but are much more effective than just spraying alone.
The two most common types of termites are "drywood" and "ground" termites. Both types of termites eat cellulose for nutrition. Cellulose is found in wood and wood products. Both types of termites have the "flying termite" or "winged reproductive". These winged termites are new kings and queens attempting to establish a new colony. They may also be referred to as "swarmers". Ant colonies also send swarmers, which have nearly the same appearance as termites, but may be identified upon closer inspection. Below you will see the obvious differences between ant and termite swarmers. |
